N. Ryan Livingston, DMD, MD
Meet Dr. Livingston
Dr. Livingston specializes in surgical treatment and reconstruction of the face and mouth. He was raised in the Tennessee Valley of North Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of North Alabama. He then obtained both a Medical and Dental degree from the University of Alabama Birmingham. He then completed a 1-year internship in General Surgery and a 6-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He also served as Chief Resident of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Professional Interests:
During his time at UAB, he performed countless reconstructive surgeries on Alabama’s trauma victims. Dr. Livingston received extensive training in orthognathic surgery, TMJ treatment and surgery, cosmetic surgery, maxillofacial pathology and reconstruction. He has special interest in dentoalveolar surgery including wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting and dental implant surgery. Dr. Livingston’s research includes advanced pain control techniques in pediatric patients as well as minimally invasive trauma reconstruction techniques.
Personal Interests:
Dr. Livingston and his family have attended Briarwood Presbyterian Church since 2002 and have been active members since 2003. His free time is spent enjoying time with Marianne, his wife, and three children.
